The Company

A house built on rigor, restraint, and Liberian soil.

Uchida & Nyekan Mining Corporation Inc. was founded to bring institutional-grade discipline to gold exploration and development in the Republic of Liberia — a country whose Birimian geology has quietly produced world-class deposits for a century, and whose people deserve a partner that treats mining as a long-term stewardship, not a transaction.

We operate at the intersection of geology, governance, and community. Every concession we evaluate is subject to the same standard of technical scrutiny expected by international investors, and every hectare we work is subject to the same standard of environmental and social care expected by the communities that host us.

Our team spans Monrovia, Phoenix, and the field. We work quietly, in the interest of Liberia, the interest of our partners, and the interest of the shareholders who trust us with their capital.

Our operating
capabilities.

From reconnaissance to production planning, we deliver a full-cycle mining and advisory practice — anchored by direct field experience, credentialed geological work, and a Liberian regulatory footprint.

01 · Exploration

Reconnaissance & Target Generation

Regional geological mapping, stream-sediment sampling, and structural analysis across the Birimian belt. We identify anomalies that merit capital, and we walk away from the ones that do not.

02 · Drilling

RC & Diamond Drilling Programs

Managed drill campaigns using established West African contractors. Chain-of-custody sample handling, ISO-certified assay labs, and QAQC that stands up to any investor's due diligence review.

03 · Resource

Resource Modeling & Reporting

Resource estimates prepared to internationally recognized standards (JORC / NI 43-101 aligned) by qualified persons. Transparent methodology, auditable assumptions, defensible tonnage.

04 · Permitting

Licensing & Regulatory Affairs

Working directly with the Ministry of Mines & Energy and county authorities to secure, maintain and remain in compliance with exploration, class-B and class-A mining licenses.

05 · Diligence

Investor & Partner Due Diligence

Independent technical review of concessions, joint ventures, and acquisition targets across Liberia and neighboring West African jurisdictions. Honest reports for people making real decisions.

06 · Community

Community & ESG Engagement

Formal engagement with paramount chiefs, town leaders, and civil society. Grievance mechanisms, local employment, and shared-benefit agreements structured to hold long after the drill rig leaves.

Why Gold · Why Liberia

Gold has always been the story underneath the surface in Liberia.

The country sits on an under-explored western extension of the same Birimian greenstone belt that hosts the giant deposits of Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Côte d'Ivoire. Formal gold has grown to become Liberia's leading mineral export by value — and the greenfield opportunity remains substantial. We are here to help write the next chapter, professionally and patiently.

Justin Nyekan Cooper

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

"Liberia's gold does not need to be marketed. It needs to be mined the right way — with rigor, with respect, and with the discipline that turns geology into shareholder value and shared prosperity."

Justin Nyekan Cooper is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Uchida & Nyekan Mining Corporation Inc. He established the firm to bring the discipline of investor-grade evaluation — the same standards used by publicly listed miners on the TSX and ASX — to the Liberian gold sector, a jurisdiction he believes has been under-served by conventional advisory models.

Based between Phoenix, Arizona and Monrovia, Justin brings a hybrid perspective to the business. He has led project-level due diligence, developed multi-season field budgets, structured investor packets, and coordinated directly with geologists, licensed surveyors, professional trustees and county-level stakeholders across West Africa. His practice is grounded in a first-principles reading of Liberian mining law, the country's cadastre, and the operating realities of working in remote concessions.

He is a determined proponent of Liberian-led resource development: the belief that value created from Liberian soil should compound in Liberian hands, alongside those of the international partners who bring capital and technical firepower to the table.

Since
Multi-decade engagement

The pillars of our practice.

Mining is a decades-long conversation between geology, capital, and community. These are the principles we do not negotiate.

i.

Liberian-led, Internationally Standardized

Registered in Monrovia, majority-Liberian in ambition and in structure, but working to the technical and reporting standards demanded by international capital markets. Local roots, global rigor.

ii.

Geology Before Storytelling

We do not promote projects. We evaluate them, and when the evidence supports it, we develop them. Every claim we make about a deposit is backed by traceable data, competent-person work, and a paper trail.

iii.

Environmental Stewardship

Water quality, forest integrity, and land rehabilitation are not compliance line-items. They are the conditions that make it possible to operate in Liberia for generations, and we design programs around that horizon.

iv.

Communities as Partners

Prior consultation with host communities is not a checkbox. It is the beginning of a working relationship. We commit to formal agreements, local hiring, transparent grievance channels, and shared benefit — because that is the only durable social license.

v.

Fiduciary Discipline

Investor capital is treated with the same care we would treat our own. Budgets are audited. Scope changes are disclosed. Reporting is on cadence. When something goes wrong, we say so first.

vi.

Discretion

Our clients, partners, and concession-holders trust us with sensitive information. We keep that trust. Public disclosure is disciplined, targeted, and always aligned with what is materially useful to the parties involved.
